Comic Artist Commissions

I offer a limited number of comic artist commissions focused on bold, expressive ink work, strong character design, and dynamic storytelling. My work blends comic book aesthetics with myth, sci-fi, and cultural influences — resulting in striking, print-ready illustrations with a clear authorial voice.

These commissions are ideal if you’re looking for:

  • Original characters
  • Comic-style portraits or figures
  • High-contrast, ink-forward artwork
  • A distinctive indie comic look rather than generic digital art

I work digitally, but every piece is created with traditional comic sensibilities: confident linework, controlled blacks, texture, and clarity of form.

My Style & Approach

I specialise in custom comic art commissions that feel like they belong on a cover, splash page, or within a larger story world. My background is in sequential comic storytelling, emphasising:

  • Strong silhouettes and readable designs
  • Expressive faces and physicality
  • Inks that carry energy and movement
  • Artwork that holds up at print size

Whether it’s a single character or a more involved scene, the focus is always on clarity, impact, and personality — not over-rendered noise.

Premium / Guacasalsa-Style Commission — from $250

  • Full-body character
  • Detailed environment or splash-style background
  • Heavy inks, textures, and optional grey values
  • Designed like a cover or key illustration

This tier is ideal if you want something bold, atmospheric, and portfolio-level. These pieces often influence my ongoing creator-owned work and are limited in availability.

Guacasalsa-Inspired Commissions (Limited)

For those interested in something more distinctive, I offer Guacasalsa-style commissions — original characters reimagined through a mythic, Mesoamerican-inspired sci-fi lens.

These are:

  • Original characters only
  • Designed using my established visual language
  • Not fan art or licensed properties

This option is perfect if you want a piece that feels like it belongs to a larger, original comic universe.

What I Do & Don’t Accept

What I Accept:

Original characters

Including heroes, villains, fighters, mythic figures, and sci-fi concepts.

Comic-style character commissions

Bold, ink-forward illustrations designed with strong silhouettes and storytelling in mind.

Fan art (limited availability)

I may accept commissions of well-known characters (e.g. comics, film, sci-fi) as original, unofficial interpretations. These pieces are not affiliated with or endorsed by the original rights holders and are drawn in my own style.

Clear briefs and visual references

A short description, mood, or general reference is perfect — clarity helps keep the process smooth.

What I Don’t Accept

Requests to replicate another artist’s exact style

I don’t copy or imitate the work of specific artists. All commissions are drawn in my own established visual language.

Recreations of existing panels, covers, or official artwork

I won’t redraw or closely replicate specific copyrighted images or designs.

AI-generated references or prompts

I don’t work from AI-generated imagery or concepts.

Licensed or copyrighted work presented as “official”

All fan art is clearly unofficial and interpreted through my own style.

Excessive revision requests

Each commission includes a set number of revisions. Major changes beyond this may incur additional fees.

Process & Payment

  • Full payment is required upfront
  • Turnaround time is discussed before starting
  • I offer limited monthly slots to maintain quality
  • Finished artwork is delivered digitally

Clients receive high-resolution files suitable for printing and personal use.

How to Request a Commission

To request a commission, please include:

  • A short description of your idea
  • Character details or references
  • Preferred commission tier

I review all requests personally and will confirm availability before proceeding.

A Note on Style & Creative Direction

My work is driven by strong design, confident inking, and storytelling clarity. While I welcome collaboration and ideas, I retain creative control over composition, pose, and visual approach to ensure the final piece reflects my best work.

If you’re looking for something that feels comic-authentic, bold, and character-driven, we’ll be a great fit.
